Crockpot or Stovetop Chili-Medium Spicy
4 servings.
For the chili:
3/4 lb ground beef -85%
14.5 oz diced tomatoes
15 oz marinara sauce
15oz kidney beans drained - no salt added
1/2 chopped onion cooked til translucent in some of beef grease
6oz chicken or beef stock
2tbsp chili powder
1tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 1/4 tsp coriander
1 1/4 tsp cumin
1/8-1/4tsp salt- if it's tasting bland add a little more
4 Tbsp classic guacamole mix
1/2 cup red wine
Directions:
In a pan, cook ground beef until brown. Transfer to pot or crockpot (spray with pam first).
Cook onion in same pan as ground beef with a litttle bit of the grease until translucent. Transfer to pot.
Add the rest of the ingredients to the pot.
Bring to a boil, then simmer on low covered for 4-8 hours. Stirring occasionally.
