Soup or chicken noodle soup base
Ingredients
- 12 c chicken broth
- 4 celery stalks, chopped
- 4-5 carrots, sliced
- 1 onion, diced or about half bag frozen chopped onions
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp parsley (dried)
- 1 tsp oregano
- ½ tsp thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 T olive oil (for stove top)
INSTRUCTIONS
FOR STOVE TOP:
- Chop vegetables as small as you can. Add celery, carrots and onion and saute until onions become translucent. Add in broth, salt, pepper, garlic, bay leaf, thyme, oregano and parsley.
- Turn heat to medium and allow soup to come to a low boil for about 30 minutes or until carrots are fully softened.
